About OMPEF

Old Mission Peninsula Education Foundation is a charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing quality educational programs on Old Mission Peninsula. To accomplish our mission, the foundation reaches out to the community to secure funds and resources. 

As of July 14, 2017, the K-6 Old Mission Peninsula Elementary school became a part of the GVSU charter portfolio. Continuing the long-standing tradition of education on the Peninsula, the tuition free school will officially open in September 2018. The current Old Mission Peninsula Elementary School building, which was recently purchased by the Old Mission Peninsula Education Foundation, will serve as the home to students throughout the region.
