Sustainable Communities, an Educational Resource

This crossplatform CD ROM was produced for the Neahtawanta Center, which developed the content and databases which are accessed by the CD’s programming. The purpose of the project was to raise awareness of local community sustainability in the Grand Traverse Bay Region. The CD opens with a 3D rendering of a local windmill. Entering via the CD’s navigation, users can search an ownership database and view maps of local shopping areas, color-coded by local and non-local ownership. Audio programs are available on the CD, in addition to the CD’s soundtrack produced by Byte. Links to several Web resources were provided for further research.
