Get to Know Sue Nolff

Sue Nolff

We can honestly say that Sue has a hand in almost every project that comes through our doors. From content development to design and training, she has a vast skill set that makes her an incredible asset to the Byte Productions team.

What is your favorite thing about working at Byte Productions?

I love the respect and camaraderie that we all share for each other here. Work flows like well-oiled cogwheels since we each have our own unique skills that are all necessary for each job’s completion. We work very well as a team.

What is your favorite feature of the ByteEditor CMS?

Overall, I like the ability to have as many pages on your website as you want.

In particular though, I really like the Searchable Content page type. It can be used for so many things. It creates a database of information that can be searched by categories or tags, so I’ve seen it used for portfolios of work, blogs, employee databases, product databases, recipes, etc. The possibilities are endless, and it’s always the first thing I think of when I start working with a new client. What does this company offer that could best be displayed in this database format on their website?

What piece of technology do you love the most?

I have a love/hate relationship with my iPad. It goes everywhere with me, and I’ve always got my nose in it in my free time; reading, on Facebook or Twitter, surfing the web, etc. I read A LOT, but I also write. I’ve tried writing on my iPad, but in the end I think I’ll end up with a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro so I can write easier, as well as read, surf the net, etc.

If you could be any super hero who would it be?

Superman! I went skydiving back in September, and absolutely LOVED it! I would love to be able to fly. Having his strength would be pretty cool too.

What’s your favorite thing to do outside of work?

Reading is always my fallback when I find the time. I love doing anything with my family though. Particularly, when weather permits I love to take day rides on my husband’s motorcycle with him, or go camping in our camper.

Why Traverse City?

I didn’t grow up here, but my family vacationed here when I was a kid, and I met my husband here. It wasn’t a hard decision when it came to where I wanted to raise my kids. Almost my whole family ended up living here too, so now this is home, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
